It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the closure of Cabal PC Legacy on June 11, 2024, 11:59 PM (GMT+8). Cabal is a title that has been an integral part of the gaming landscape in the Philippines for the past 16 years and for everyone involved, Cabal has been more than just a game; it has been a community and more importantly, a home.
My big brother (the one who first taught me how to play Cabal Online back in 2009) informed me that he saw DYLAN Plays' video as he shared the news. I immediately checked the official pages and found out it was really true.
It was never our intention to sunset Cabal. PlayPark, together with the Cabalistas over the years, have built a wonderful experience around the game. We were equally saddened by this news.
After a few months of being too busy to create any blog post, I couldn't believe that I'm now writing about the game's closure (damn, I was even planning to go back to blogging the game, I just can't start it yet). There were so many emotions to process, and the news still left me speechless. Although I'm already inactive for a few years, it's still unbelievable that we are now at the Nevareth's sunset.
Anyway, I don't wanna say goodbye yet, as we still have about a month to go. So here are some of the other details that we need to take note for now:
All your game data up until today is stored safely in Cabal’s server at this moment. Regardless of whether your game data is kept in Cabal or deleted in the future by the developer subject to the applicable laws and regulations...
And for the tournament:
The Cabal Legacy Tournament included in the 2024 PlayPark All-Stars: Return to Glory series will proceed with a new, shortened schedule and additional cash prizes. This will also serve as our Farewell event.
